(More customer reviews)Ordered this bumper through Amazon from Westin Auto products for my Black 2001 Ford Expedition to replace a damaged one. The bumper arrived very timely and I was estatic as I was in a hurry to replace the damaged bumper. I opened the packing and I was very baffled and dissapointed to see the bumper was a sand and chrome color. Prior to ordering the bumper the site shows a picture of the bumper in black and chrome. There is no drop down tab to select any other color option either. You can even click the photo for a close up view to verify everything you need is attached to the bumper and comes with it.
The worst part however was I called customer service thinking ok maybe they can ship me the correct color bumper in a few days and I can send the other back or at the very least ship me the plastic attachment in black and I can then swap the black for the tan and ship the tan one back. I explained the situation to the young lady on the phone and she then stated that tan was the only color the bumper came in. I explained about the picture showing the black and chrome bumper with no other color options and she just repeated that the bumper only came in tan and never came in black. I explained they might want to change the picture on the site then since its misrepresenting the color and misleading. She then just repeated again for the third time it only comes in that color. Asked about alternatives from other models to which there was no reply. She then explained I could return the bumper but didnt advise a refund. This was unacceptable as this was over 300 dollars and I didnt want any store credit nor try to find another item in the store especially after this experience. I needed a bumper for my truck. Finally I disconnected the call and spoke to an Amazon rep who authorized a return for a refund.
Please understand the young lady wasn't really rude, just uninvolved and very nonchalant about the whole thing. She didnt offer any suggestions and it seemed like she was basically waiting for me to end the call so she could get back to reading or whatever she was doing prior to my call. I also looked at the picture again and guess what? They still have a black bumper showing as well.
