(More customer reviews)I purchased the four-piece version of this product (not currently available on Amazon from what I can tell). It is basically clear tape that you apply to the door edges. It does appear to protect the edges from damage. My only complaint is that I wish the tape was a little thicker to provide a little more cushion when your door happens to touch another car.
I can see the tape on my white car if I take a good look but it's hard to tell. I don't notice it at all anymore.
Tip - when you apply it, stretch it along the door frame - pull on it. The instructions also say to do this but I want to emphasize it. It helps produce a really good seal.
Overall - worth it.
